Later in season 2, the scar has moved to the right side while the left side remains unmarked. Over the years my eyes adjusted until the darkness became my world and I could see.

Yes, the ending was terrible, but like Game of Thrones, Lost (or any other show with a bad final episode), a few bad episodes at the end doesn’t ruin what was an overall great show and that… GREAT show.
