Based on the comic book “Here” by Richard McGuire

Tale

A generational story about families and the special place they live, sharing love, loss, laughter and life.. It was first published as a strip in the comic book magazine “Raw” in 1989 and was expanded into a 300-page graphic novel in 2014.. Richard’s father at one point early in the film names several towns that he claims are along the Pennsylvania Turnpike, when in fact they are all towns that are along Interstate 80 in PA, which hadn’t even been built at the time.. [from the trailer] Richard: You know, if you want, you could spend the rest of the night here.

However, after The Walk, his works have been disappointing and disappointing, to say the least

In the past, Zemeckis has created classic works such as “Forrest Gump, the Back to the Future trilogy, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Polar Express” and many other great works that I grew up with. This film has a really ambitious and intriguing concept, but unfortunately, despite some solid and interesting moments, Zemeckis fails to experiment with the concept properly and ends up being boring and disappointing. The concept of the camera staying in one place and the narrative seem ambitious and creative. With interesting themes that could be innovative in exploring, but Zemeckis’ direction and the film’s lack of emotional depth ruin what could have been a good film.

Comes with some rudimentary dialogue and pacing issues

Full of bloated plot lines, unbalanced structure and characters that are not fully developed, the emotional weight and involvement becomes more of a snooze fest. Almost as if Zemeckis had seen The Tree of Life but didn’t understand what made The Tree of Life great and made this more mediocre and boring. The production design and camerawork are really good along with the CGI use of face swapping which is pretty solid with the colors and movement. All the performances are good and it’s nice to see Tom Hanks and Robin Wright together again as they have good chemistry and scenes together.

Robert Zemeckis will always be one of my favorite directors

But it didn’t work because of the sloppy and clumsy approach that doesn’t really do it justice. I grew up with him during my childhood but unfortunately his best years are long gone. From Alien: Romulus to Road House, let’s take a look at some of our favorite posters of 2024.
