Unravel the mystery of a town in the middle of the US that traps anyone who enters. As the residents try to maintain a sense of normalcy and find a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest. The location known as Beaver Bank Villa has a long history and many years ago contained housing units, a community hall, a fire station, a school, a church, a convenience store, etc. (all demolished by 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s.

I’ve enjoyed this show so far and the acting and mysteries etc. However, I’m starting to worry a bit that it’s getting too close to the “Lost” vibe.While "Lost" was also a fantastic show in terms of acting, directing etc.

What really annoyed me at the very end was how many mysteries there were just for the sake of it being mysterious. As I watched the second season, I still found myself getting a little annoyed when another weird mystery was introduced, whether it was a symbol, an object, a thing, an event… mostly because I couldn’t stop myself from thinking, “Is this going to be relevant in any way in the long run? that’s there. It’s never mentioned again.” or explained in any way Because that kind of mystery writing just annoys me in the end The writer can reach into their backs and pull out absolutely nothing and never come back to it.” “Okay, next there’s a llama in a red hat whispering the words "paleontological" and "spatula"!” and that’s it, forgotten one season later, no explanation, it was just there to be weird.
