Blake, the acronym "OBE" is incorrectly interpreted as "Overtaken by Events." In U.S. government agencies, including those belonging to the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense, the correct/official explanation for the acronym "OBE" is "Overtaken by Events".. As "The Agency" (UK release 2024; 10 episodes 50-60 min), we are introduced to a Martian, a CIA operative who is suddenly called back to London after 6 years in Africa. Upon arriving at his new flat in London, he discovers that there are listening devices all over the world.
We are currently 10 minutes into episode 1
We then head to Belarus, where a clearly drunk man gets into his car and crashes after a chase by the Belarusian police, but survives. Some comments: This miniseries is based on the highly acclaimed previous French TV series Le Bureau des Legendes. This is the latest film from Oscar-winning British director Joe Wright (Darkest Hour). There is A LOT going on in episode 1 (at least 3 parallel storylines) and it took me a while to see and understand the big picture.

By episode 2, I was completely invested in it, as the tension and drama are everywhere. This miniseries benefits greatly from the excellent Michael Fassbender (as the Martian). By the end of episode 2, I was (and am) ready for more. The first 2 episodes started airing on SHO a few days ago.
I can’t wait!
